From January 20th to 22nd, the Milan International Fashion and Textile Exhibition will kick off at the Milan Convention and Exhibition Center, continuing the legacy of Italian fashion craftsmanship. As a global fashion hub, the Milan exhibition has always been a benchmark for high-end fabrics and classic tailoring – innovative applications of natural materials such as wool and silk, hand sewn details, and luxurious textures hidden in simple silhouettes perfectly interpret the Italian aesthetics of “low-key luxury”. This exhibition is expected to attract over 2000 global brands to participate, not only as a treasure trove for buyers, but also as a hall for designers to draw classic inspiration.
As the ecological crisis of fast fashion gradually emerges, the 2025 China International Fashion Week (Autumn) redefines fashion value with the theme of “Vitality Aesthetics.” This grand event, centered on sustainable concepts, showcased innovative eco-friendly practices from brands such as Xtep, True W, and Shan Y Qingzhi—Xtep’s recycled PET yarn sportswear, and True W’s 3D-printed designs combining intangible cultural heritage Chifon fabric with biodegradable PHA materials, achieving perfect symbiosis between traditional craftsmanship and eco-friendly technology. The most impressive was designer Liu Hongchao’s “Flowing into One’s Own River” series, featuring hand-knitted lace overlays and pebble-woven tote bags, which extend garment lifecycles through the “one garment, multiple wears” concept, interpreting the romance of slow fashion with the warmth of stitches.
